Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, who sees it, and the choices you have. Effective November 6, 2026.
The short version
- To open an account we ask for your email address and phone number. Nothing more is required.
- We don’t ask for identity documents, selfies or proof of address.
- We don’t record voice chat.
- Analytics cookies only run if you accept them.
- We don’t sell your personal information, and there are no third-party ads on SlideBattle.
- Lost access to your account? Email support@slidebattle.com and we’ll help you recover it, or change the email or phone number on it.
Who we are
SlideBattle LLC (“SlideBattle”, “we”, “us”) runs slidebattle.com and the SlideBattle app. We are responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us about anything in this policy at support@slidebattle.com.
What we collect
What you give us
- Your account: email address, phone number, username, and a password, which we store hashed, never in plain text. If you play as a guest, the app creates a random identifier for your device instead.
- Your profile, if you fill it in: display name, avatar and bio. Profile settings also have optional fields for your legal name and address; we don’t require them.
- Your wallet: the deposits and withdrawals you make, their amounts and status, the crypto address you withdraw to and the transaction ID. Where UPI is offered, your UPI ID and the payment reference (UTR).
- Security settings: your wallet PIN, stored salted and hashed, and, if you turn on two-factor authentication, its secret key, stored encrypted.
- Support and reports: the messages and files you send our support desk, and any report you make about another player (the reason, the player and the match).
- Creators: if you connect a Kick account in Creators Corner, your Kick channel details and the access Kick grants us, used to run your creator stats.
What is created as you play
- The matches you play: the game, your opponent, entry stakes, results, payouts and your stats.
- Friends, favourite games, challenges, recently played opponents, whether you are online, and searches you make in the app.
- Rewards: your referral code, who referred you, referral and affiliate earnings, gift codes and free credits you redeem.
- Your notification settings, and a push token if you allow notifications.
What we collect automatically
- IP address: to limit repeated sign-in attempts, to check for bots, and once, when your account is first used, to look up which country it came from.
- Country: taken from your phone number’s country code when you verify it, and shown as a flag on your profile.
- Usage analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies: the pages you visit, what you tap, your device and browser type, and recordings of how sessions move through the app, with everything you type masked. Once you sign in, this is linked to your account ID.
What we don’t collect
Identity documents, selfies or other biometrics, proof of address, bank card numbers, your precise (GPS) location, your contacts, or recordings of voice chat.
How we use it
- To run your account and the games, match you with opponents, settle matches and pay winners.
- To process deposits and withdrawals.
- To keep accounts secure: sign-in limits, verification codes, two-factor authentication, the wallet PIN and bot checks.
- To prevent fraud, cheating and abuse, and to enforce our Terms and age rules.
- To answer support requests and help you recover your account, including changing your email or phone on request.
- To send verification codes, account messages and the notifications you’ve turned on.
- To run rewards, referrals and the affiliate program.
- To understand how the app is used, find problems and improve it, if you accept analytics cookies.
- To meet our legal obligations.
Where the law asks for a legal basis, we rely on our contract with you (running your account and matches), our legitimate interests (security and fraud prevention), legal obligations, and your consent for analytics cookies and push notifications.
What other players can see
- Your public profile: display name, username, avatar, verified badge, country flag, the date you joined, and your bio.
- Your match results, which can appear in the public match feed and on the leaderboard.
- In a match with voice chat on, your opponent hears you live.
Who we share it with
We use these providers to run SlideBattle. Each gets only what it needs for its job:
- Agora carries live voice chat between players.
- Google: Firebase Authentication sends phone verification codes, Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers push notifications, reCAPTCHA checks for bots, and Google Fonts serves the app’s fonts.
- Twilio sends SMS verification codes.
- SuprSend sends verification emails and notifications.
- PostHog (United States) provides usage analytics and session recordings.
- ip-api.com looks up the country of an IP address.
- Kick, only if you connect your Kick account.
- Blockchain networks: crypto deposits and withdrawals are recorded on a public blockchain, which is how those networks work.
- UPI and banks: where UPI is offered, your payment passes through the UPI network and the banks involved.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that run our servers.
We also share information when the law requires it, to protect players, SlideBattle or the public from fraud or harm, or as part of a merger or sale of the business. We don’t sell personal information or share it for advertising.
Cookies and browser storage
- Essential: keeping you signed in, remembering that you confirmed you are 18 or older, your cookie choice, and your preferences such as favourite games and display currency.
- Analytics, only if you accept: PostHog keeps an identifier in a cookie and in your browser’s storage so visits can be counted.
We ask the first time you visit. Until you choose, and if you choose essential only, analytics does not run and no analytics cookie is set. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookies” at the foot of the home page, or here:
You can also clear or block storage in your browser settings. Without the essential ones you can’t stay signed in.
How long we keep it
- Account and profile information: while your account is open.
- When you close your account we delete or anonymise your profile. We keep match and wallet transaction records for as long as the law requires us to keep financial records, and security records for as long as we need them to prevent fraud.
- Support conversations: as long as needed to resolve your request and keep a record of it.
- Guest accounts that are never upgraded may be deleted after a period without use.
Your choices and rights
- Edit your profile and notification settings in the app at any time.
- Email support@slidebattle.com to get a copy of your information, correct it, change the email or phone on your account, or close your account and have your information deleted.
- We may confirm the request is yours first, for example with a code sent to the email or phone on the account.
- We reply within 30 days.
Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK, California or India), you may have further rights, including objecting to some uses and complaining to your local data protection authority.
Security
Connections to SlideBattle are encrypted. Passwords are hashed, the wallet PIN is salted and hashed, and two-factor secrets are encrypted. You can protect withdrawals with two-factor authentication and a wallet PIN. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your password to yourself and tell us at support@slidebattle.com if you think your account has been accessed.
Where it is processed
Our servers and some of our providers, such as PostHog, are in countries other than yours, including the United States. We rely on our providers’ safeguards when information moves between countries.
Children
SlideBattle is only for people aged 18 or older (or the age of majority where they live, if higher). We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If we learn that we have, we close the account and delete it.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes we update it here with a new effective date. For important changes we will also tell you in the app or by email.
